Canada and Senegal Expand Air Transport Agreement, Unlocking New Flight Opportunities

Canada’s expansion of international air transport agreements opens up more flight options, enhancing convenience and providing greater choice for passengers and shippers, while boosting opportunities for Canadian businesses.

The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Transport and Internal Trade, announced today that Canada has broadened its Air Transport Agreement with Senegal. The updated agreement includes:

• The ability for airlines from both countries to operate direct flights to any destination within each other’s territories.
• A weekly capacity of 14 passenger flights and 10 all-cargo flights for airlines from each nation.
• Increased operational flexibility for all-cargo services.

Airlines can now begin offering services under this expanded agreement without delay.
